School Trip – Hustlers Movie Night!

It’s been about a thousand years…

Since they released a ‘decent’ movie with pole in it!
(The last one I recall showing promise was ‘I know who killed me’ with Lindsey Lohan in it, and it was crap).
Equally, it’s been about a thousand years since we did anything social, and  since they let me out of my cage, SOOOO I wondered who would like to come with me to see this?
Shoot me a message on Facebook if you’re up for it  😉

Friday 13th September 6pm, Cineworld – Broughton

Yes that’s early, but some of us are old AF and have kids and can’t stay out late n stuff coz we’re just too rock n roll!

Movie starts at 6:10pm, we will be sprawled on the red leather couches at the movie hall entrance by 6pm if you’d like to meet us, AND I’m fancying a quick drink afterwards plus movie break down and talks about how we are going to pull it off for ourselves in reality  (because of course we are! LOL!).

Money, as always, is tight though folks right?
So I had a little hunt for ways to make this cheaper.
Here’s what I got…

Bank with Natwest?

Access your Natwest ‘rewards’ and exchange them for Cineworld vouchers

Got Tesco Clubcard?

Exchange 50p vouchers for £1.50 Cineworld credit! So that’s like £4.50 of Clubcard vouchers instead of £13 cash.

Got Meerkat Movies?

Baby Sia!

She Did It!

Thanks to all of the wonderful people who donated as individuals, plus the small businesses who make up our ‘Local Heroes’, Little Bean raised almost £1200 to go to the Little Princess Trust charity, plus a fair wedge to be donated to her school for much needed equipment.

This is an epic achievement, but it was time for 10″ of hair to go!

Once again, Leah from Dollimore Photography was at the ready with her camera to take pictures of Bean post-chop styled as her favourite artist – Maddie Ziegler & Sia!

Here’s the pics…

Local Heroes List

We’ve been quite lucky so far that so many of our generous friends have donated towards Millie’s campaign. Lots of which are small, independent business owners too.

We still have a way to go though and still looking for donations and sponsors so if you are a small local business and would like to help us out, you can:

Once donated, we will list your business here as a thank you for your support, and return that support with this little advert for your business, to be shared on our social media walls and company newsletter, meaning that your little ad could reach over 1600 people in the area, looking for services and businesses just like yours!

The Quest for Pole Friendly Moisturisers…

As you know by now, dry skin won’t grip the pole, and freshly moisturised skin makes for a slippery death trap.  Moisturising on the day of pole is tricky!  and until recently only two products across the country have been widely tested by pole dancers and found to be agreeable – Vaseline Essential Moisture and The Body Shop’s Body Sorbet.

About The Course…

WEEK 1 – BRING HEELS!

Can’t walk in heels?
No problem – Week 1 is all about the strut! How to walk into a room and command attention! Various walks and poses will be covered, as well as basic moves, signature moves, and chair prop work!

If you’ve done this before, we will recap, hone your skills and style out a new walks and poses that reflect your Christmas character or personality!

In this session, we will discuss props, poses, and outfits ready for next week.

You’ll also learn a little about the history of Burlesque and be given research pointers.

What parts of you do you want to showcase? How do you want to look? Who is your audience? Who is your character and what is she like?

WEEK 2 – Santa Baby!

It’s time to start your routine! We are working with Santa Baby by Ertha Kitt, to help bring the seasonal sensuality out of you!

You will follow a classic Burlesque routine involving the chair of course, which will be tailored further down the line with your own individual choices of garment removal, props etc… based on your chosen personality and style.

Will you go for tinsel titties? Mistletoe kisses? Red crushed velvet and white fur trims? Red and white striped stockings? A full sized candy cane? Christmas champagne? Are you an Elf? Or a prancing Reindeer? Have you been nice? Or are you on Santa’s naughty list?!

Everything plays a role in your own personal routine so have a good think about what you’d like to use, how you’d like to use it and what makes sense.

If you’ve done a course with us before, remember what you learned and incorporate as much as you can!

WEEK 3 – BRING YOUR OUTFIT

In this session, you will complete your routine, master garment removal, do more character work and fully test drive the props and outfits to make sure they are easy enough to carry and remove etc… taking out anything that isn’t working for you and tweaking bits until you look AND feel nothing less than FABULOUS!

If you’ve done a course with us before, as a confidence exercise we will briefly perform your routines for the newbies, as well as have some brief confidence coaching.

WEEK 4 – THE FINALE!

In the last session, you will finish and practise the full routine, perform it and we will record you (for your own personal use!).

But are you bold enough to practise it at home and perform it for someone special?

Do let us know!
