Got your new diary for 2017 yet?  Here’s your first event of the year …

And it’s FREEEEEE!!!!

Try it, you might like it!

This is just a one-off lesson and would suit anyone who is just curious and not quite ready to commit to a full course. It will give you a good idea about what is involved and what pole dancing is all about!

We hold a FREE taster session every month at our studio in Chester, to enable you to try before you buy.  Keep an eye on our calendar, or to keep informed about when we will hold our next free open day event, please join our mailing list.

Although we say FREE …. it sort of isn’t.

What we mean is, we DO NOT ACCEPT YOUR CASH for this session, but we WOULD LIKE PAYMENT, in the form of a donation.  You can choose to pay via bringing either:

A couple of cans of dog food
A tube of toothpaste
Some socks
A pair of gloves
A couple of packets of baby wipes
A beanie hat
Cupa soup
Tinned goods
A packet of tea
Or coffee
Or a bag of sugar
A bar of soap
A shower gel or shampoo
A toothbrush
A hair brush
An old blanket
A pillow
Or any warm clothes that you just don’t wear

The items collected from our FREE taster sessions are donated to Chester’s homeless city mission, or when we can, we will try to get out on the streets at night ourselves and hand out your goods to people who need them.

Thank You.

Why Pole Dance?

Why Pole Dance?

Good question. And one with lots of great answers. Here at Candy and Chrome we put the emphasis on fun. We aren’t here to train the next pole dancing world champion. We want to inspire women of all shapes, sizes, ages and fitness levels to have and go, have fun, make friends and improve their fitness at the same time. But being as you asked, here are some of the benefits of pole dancing. Continue reading “Why Pole Dance?”

Halloween tracks added to our Pole Playlist section…

Selecting pole tracks is an art form …

You can’t just throw in any old tune.  Oh no no no.

So our pole playlists are carefully hand picked from the universe, just for you.

The Halloween pole playlist has a good mix of spooktacular tracks, with dark, sexy undertones – just the way we like it! Even Dracular himself would have a ‘hard time’ containing his excite.

We’ve tried to get in a bit of everything – from rock to dance, to trap and dirty dubstep.  There’s one or two classics thrown in there, plus some remixes of course, but this list is mostly fresh, modern, dirty sexy, and with minimal helpings of spook-cheese.

Anyway …. Enjoy! …

Dan Owen – Witching Hour
Mourning Ritual – Bad moon rising
Pop Evil – Deal with the devil
Royal Blood – Ten tonne skeleton
Five Finger Death Punch – House of the rising sun
Alice Cooper – Feed my Frankinstein

Volbeat – The Devil’s bleeding crown
The Black Keys – Howlin for you
China Anne McClain – Calling all the monsters
The Brothers Bright – Blood on my name
Pelle K – Come little children
Kip Tyler – She’s my witch
Jace Everett – Bad things
ACDC – Hells bells
Rob Zombie – Dragula
Marilyn Manson – I put a spell on you
Rob Zombie – Living dead girl
London Grammar – Devil inside
Nekromantix – Trick or Treat
The Swingin Neckbreakers – No costume, no candy
Fever Ray – The wolf
Royal Blood – Little monster
Marilyn Manson – The Devil beneath my feet
Lucette – Black is the colour
ACDC – Highway to hell
Arum Rae – I’m smoke

Our Masterclass with …

Miss Sally Ann Giles!

So this weekend just gone, myself and my super hot number 2 Darryl went to have a masterclass with none other than SAG!

OMGZ!

I’m still calming down right now but needless to say we loved every minute and I will happily recommend burning your money on something like this in the future if the occasion arises because it is well worth it! (Maybe we should invite her to Candy & Chrome Chester sometime?)

Sally is not only a strong warrior woman (see video for proof!), but she is also a strong instructor too.  I think I would marry her someday.  I said that out loud didn’t I?
Everything you do with pole, is all about the ‘push and pull’.  Any time your hand is above your shoulder, it’s a power lift, any time your hand is low, it’s a supportive push.
Anyhoo – I walked away very happy because Sally’s teaching style is very similar to mine, and it was nice to have someone like her confirm a lot (like 99%) of what I say to you girls in class, and it was nice to be in the role reversal of being a student under her.

I have (as always!) made notes of what we have learned and the technique behind it Continue reading “Our Masterclass with …”
