Why Pole Dance?

Good question. And one with lots of great answers. Here at Candy and Chrome we put the emphasis on fun. We aren’t here to train the next pole dancing world champion. We want to inspire women of all shapes, sizes, ages and fitness levels to have and go, have fun, make friends and improve their fitness at the same time. But being as you asked, here are some of the benefits of pole dancing.


It will get you fit

Pole dancing can burn anything between 300 and 500 calories per hour. It is also great for all body toning and conditioning. It is also more fun than the gym. Fact.


Anyone can do it

Fat, thin, skinny, curvy, lanky, short, stumpy, toned, flabby, old, young… anyone can pole dance. All you need is a body, a smile and a sense of humour.


It’s fun

Fancy spending an hour on the treadmill and lifting weights or an hour having laugh with friends learning a new skill? Decisions, decisions.


You will make new friends

All our classes are run in a fully supportive atmosphere – we are here to have fun and it is impossible to leave our classes without having made some new friends.


You will feel a million dollars

You’ll be amazed at what learning to pole dance can do for your confidence. You’ll look great, feel great and the buzz you get from pulling off moves you never imagined possible is impossible to replicate without the use of excess wine, George Clooney or chocolate. Sometimes all three.
